It's almost one in the morning, and yet, I cannot sleep. So I figure I'll knock another task off my list. Introducing the 50 questions that will free your mind:)
1. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?
Does this question mean to ask what age would you LIKE to be, or emotionally what age are you? I would LIKE to be 28. Married, a bit older and hopefully more financially stable, and at the age where you're truly treated like an adult (and a mommy? :) ). What age emotionally am I? Probably around 28. I handle our money really well, especially considering MP having lost his job 4 months ago and us relying on my very tiny teaching assistant pay until September, I have pretty much been able to keep us afloat without having to seek help from my parents. I already feel like we're married, and if I were handed a child tomorrow morning, I would fully embrace all that is mommyhood.
2. Which is worse, failing or never trying?
Never trying, because then you'd be faced with an eternity of "what ifs" and doubt.
3. If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do?
Because those certain things that we do not enjoy are necessary in life to get to the parts we DO enjoy. I don't even know if that makes sense, but I mean to say they are a necessary evil to gain happiness.
4. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?
Probably said more, I'm a chicken.
5. What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world?
Selfish me or altruistic me? Selfish me wants the economy to stop sucking so that MP and I can both have steady jobs, afford a home and begin our American Dream together. Altruistic me wishes that the world would finally become a place where people of all religions and races and sexual orientations were accepted.
6. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich?
Being a mom/wife. And probably performing in musicals:)
7. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?
As of next month, doing something I believe in!
8. If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?
I would have a child sooner, travel and love harder every day.
9. To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken?
i decided to transfer from my dream school to another state university in pursuit of my dream job, which ultimately led me to my soul mate too!
10. Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things?
Doing the right things, right.
11. You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do?
Inform them that she is my friend, and just as I would not tolerate her criticizing any of them behind their backs in front of me, I would appreciate they refrain from doing so as well.
12. If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be?
You are unique and loved, never let yourself forget that.
13. Would you break the law to save a loved one?
If the reason were valid and the loved one was truly in harms way, then virtually nothing could stop me from saving them.
14. Have you ever seen insanity where you later saw creativity?
Isn't all art a form of insanity?
15. What’s something you know you do differently than most people?
I think differently. Not in the "oh I never thought of it that way" way, but in the "we're talking about slasher films and suddenly I think about pineapple" way. :)
16. How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy?
Because everyone is unique and has his or her own set of likes and dislikes.
17. What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? What’s holding you back?
Have a child. Money and job security.
18. Are you holding onto something you need to let go of?
I'm good at not being a pack rat, so no.
19. If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why?
Hm.. state: Arizona or California, SO beautiful. Country: probably Spain, so much culture and beauty, and I could get around fine:)
20. Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?
I do so only with the door closed/door open button, and yes I do think THAT one works lol.
21. Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton?
A joyful simpleton. While I don't like ignorance, I would much rather lead a happy, carefree life, than one of constant worry and sorrow
22. Why are you, you?

23. Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend?
I feel I have. I listen and love with all of my heart.

Those in my life. That I'm marrying my penguin, that I have a wonderful family and that life is going well.
26. Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones?
I would rather lose old memories. yes, they made me who I am today, but I would much rather have to re-remember my past than not be able to know the faces of my children one day (think 50 first dates) or my husband.

Every time I hear I love you.
32. If not now, then when?
In 5 minutes.
33. If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose?
pride.
34. Have you ever been with someone, said nothing, and walked away feeling like you just had the best conversation ever?
Actions really do speak louder than words.
35. Why do religions that support love cause so many wars?
Because each religion has their own definition of love, of hate, of right and of wrong.
36. Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil?
Is this referring to LOST? You never truly can know, because there is no TRUE right versus wrong. Everything is subjective.
37. If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job?
No. A million isn't enough to survive a lifetime on, and besides, I would much rather have luxuries while still working.
38. Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing?
Would I have more free time with the less work to do? Then, yes. If not, then bring on the good work.
